Did
you know that an entire industry was created by a C- student? It's
true. Fred Smith, the founder of Federal Express submitted the business
plan for FedEx to his Yale business professor. He received a C- and was
told it was impossible, and even if he could do it, he'd never make a
profit. He didn't give up, he instead created an entire industry.
Making
the world a better place is important. It's worth risking for. It's

The
Opportunity
The
US Department of Energy forecasts electricity usage to rise 40% over the next 18
years.
To
meet this demand, generation companies are planning to build natural gas fired
power plants. Because natural gas
is very expensive and suffers from extreme price volatility, these companies are
looking for economically superior alternatives.
Of all energy systems currently under consideration, only powersats can deliver the key combination of economy, sustainability, availability and environmental friendliness.
Coal plants suffer from high capital cost and rising fuel acquisition cost. Natural gas plants are inexpensive to build, but very costly to fuel and operate. Nuclear power carries prohibitive political and environ-mental liabilities.
Hydroelectric power works well, but hydro is tapped out. The useful rivers have been dammed, and existing dams are under pressure to generate less power, in favor of water-flow for fish populations.
Terrestrial
solar energy isn’t competitive for two reasons. They are on a spinning, cloudy planet, having to deal with night,
winter’s short days and storms. 
They
also are only deployed in small installations denied the economy of scale of a
centralized power plant. Wind is at
best a supplementary, intermittent energy source.
Powersats deliver better lifetime performance than any energy system currently in development.
At this time, PowerSat Corporation is just beginning our Phase 1. We will be establishing a strong Board of Directors and fleshing out our preliminary business plan. Private investors will be able to participate at this stage of our development. The timeline below outlines our planned growth. | Phase 0
- Prelaunch During this phase, we built a strong Board of Advisors and retained core executives which are required for the company's successful launch. An initial business plan has been developed. The ISEC patent was applied for. Website and introductory video presentation were developed. |
| Phase 1
- Design (Duration 1 1/2 Years) During this phase, the business plan will be refined, all major technical questions well understood, and risk management plans developed. A complete executive team will be hired. ISEC Patent granted. We will secure letters of interest from three qualified purchasing organizations (Bonneville Power Administration, Duke Energy, etc.) Three feature articles in large general circulation media outlets will run with at least ten favorable editorial mentions. Website traffic of at more than 500 visitors per day. Contacts established within all agencies that have jurisdiction over PowerSat operations. Agency decision makers identified. Agencies made aware of our intended activities. All relevant regulations documented and understood. Plans developed to overcome any blocking regulations. All agencies have given an indication of awareness and preliminary approval of PowerSat plans. Letter of commitment from credible launch vehicle company to create a viable low-cost launcher if we can guarantee the market. Preliminary PowerSat configuration, top-level design, and a peer-review of design completed. Detailed design development plan and budget. Stumbling blocks identified, and technology validation proposals prepared. Design contractors identified. Strong Network of financial resources developed. Facilities Established (office, computers, etc). |
| Phase 2
- Development (Duration 2 Years) During this phase, the contractors identified above will begin detailed development of the PowerSat system. |
| Phase 3
- Validation (Duration 1 Year) Tests will be conducted, both ground and in-space to validate and improve the PowerSat design. |
| Phase 4
- Construction / Deployment (Duration 2-3 Years) Once the design is complete, and an order is in hand from a qualified agency, we will construct and deploy the system, again likely through contractors, then turn the system over to the utility operator. |
| Continuing
Operations With the handoff of the first PowerSat system to the utility operator (and collecting the several billion dollars such a handoff represents) We do it again, constructing modules, launching and selling completed PowerSats to utility companies, governments all over the world. At this point, we should be a substantial international corporation, delivering good earnings to our shareholders, and PowerSats all over the world, providing Cheap clean power... Forever. |
